What is UNITED-PAGES ?

From a user's perspective, UNITED-PAGES is an extended functionality of an email account for publication your own data that is used in the everyday Internet life of business and private users. Instead of redundantly distributing the same data to different applications, access rights are instead assigned to data that is maintained once-only.

From a technological perspective, UNITED-PAGES is the specification of a web service for the exchange of structured data from various application domains via an easy-to-integrate open interface.

From a conceptual perspective, UNITED-PAGES is a provider-independent infrastructure where topics of data protection and data sovereignty are anchored. Not least because of the European GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) and the ubiquitous cookie confirmation, a rethinking process is also beginning in the private environment.

What has been missing so far is an easy-to-use data-ecosystem (service and applications for various use cases) that is not under the central control of a 'data hydra'. On the other hand, it would be naive to want to establish a global ecosystem without the involvement of large IT companies. Email is the most important internet-service that is not in the hands of a single provider. Web services are of paramount importance for platform independent application communication across computer networks. Public-Key-procedures enable encryption without complex administrative effort. UNITED-PAGES combines the three technologies.
